CrossBird Privacy Policy
Effective July 7, 2026
CrossBird converts photos of printed crosswords into playable puzzles. When you scan a puzzle, your photo is uploaded to our server and processed by Anthropic’s Claude API to detect the grid and read the clues. Photos are used only for this processing and are not stored by us after your puzzle is returned. Anthropic may retain API inputs for a limited period under its API data policies.
Extracted puzzles and your solving progress are stored only on your device; deleting the app deletes them. A cached copy of extracted puzzle data (not your photo) may be stored on our server to speed up repeat scans of the same puzzle.
CrossBird has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics that identify you, and we do not sell or share your data.
